Seeker Friendly Church Confronted for not Sharing the Gospel

A lot of back story here...

At the local Denbigh Days Festival in Newport News we set up a 'heckers Mic' and shared the Gospel with a lot of people most of the day.

The festival placed all the churches together, we were placed right beside a church that is very bent on healing and passing out bottles of water with "No Strings Attached".

All day we shared the Gospel with their kids, as they came up to see "How Good they Were" for the chance to get a prize.

None of the people in that Church could even come close to explaining the Gospel correctly. None. In fact there was one guy who when asked how their church was sharing the Gospel pointed to his shirt which had a Cross on it and said..."There is a Cross on our Shirt", I couldn't make that up.

At the end of day, I felt burdened to let them know that the Bottle of Water was empty and worthless and contrary to all of John 4 with the woman at the well.

Gosh, how sad that they were so blind to the heart of the Gospel. Props for stepping out there and challenging them. Though reaching temporal needs could be used by God in various ways, people have twisted the Gospel and adopted methods which are foreign to the Scriptures. The accounts that we have of Jesus' ministry clearly relay to us that He was all about teaching and preaching the Gospel; all else was secondary to that. Hell awaits the masses (Matt. 7:13-14). We must preach repentance!

I despise the seeker church movement, but attacking them for giving out water is like attacking Typhoid Mary because she has a hangnail.

Funny how that woman kept saying 'the Gospel is about love'. That's half of it. It's also about sin, unrighteousness and the wrath of God. But we often 'forget' those parts.

If I observed this video correctly, I see one booth giving away free bottles of water on a sunny day to thirsty people... and another person coming to object to what they are doing...

Could this be in any way similar, to ...say....a person going around healing people, and then being told not to do it on a Sabbath, because it violates "God's laws"?

Believe in Science, religeon is mostly bull shit. Human life depends on science not the bible,
