It's the year of the Pig. I still don't understand why we can't animate the pig. Does animating or drawing a picture of a pig considered Haram?

tak haram... cuma sensitif. it's malay thing, nothing islamic. if this animation is meant for display on public domain, wise (but not necessarily a must) not to, at least not so discreet.

Funny because if we can even be sensitive about things NOT taught by Islam, isn't that very un-Islamic? And yet, Malaysia is considered one of the leading Islam nations when we don't even practice Islam the right way.

now that's a sensitive issue, telling a muslim he's practicing/not practicing islam the right way, unless u're a muslim urself (preferably an islamic scholar from an accepted school of thought).

i hope u get the essence of my post:

Don't bring the "babi"s into their home even though an image of babi is not haram as the babi itself. if the anim is going to be on tv, rumah melayu/muslim pun ada tv. get me?
