@arose60 my mate gave it to me to fix for him you need pressing around they power button on the key board, that will powr up the pc easy, just ordered a part from eaby £2 HP Compaq nc6000 Laptop Power Button Board

@mikeonfreeserve i know its a bit late to be replying but plugging a usb mouse in did the same for me on the rare occasion i could get the bugger to even start up, i replaced it long ago but would you know of any way to repair the problem or any upgrades that could resolve it? seems a waste if i just throw it out

i got the same problem too but sometimes it turns on then freezes or it just turns off. i think its the battery cause i took it to a computer place and they told me that i need a new battery

I have one of these runniong windows 7 no problems except the3 Graphics or Vga Adapter anyone know where i can replace it
