In celebration of the fact that I've just hit 5,000 subscribers, I have uploaded a new Vice City mystery video as promised. This time, I'll be investigating the legend of the ghost ships that are said to sail the oceans.

  • fix your graphic card man

  • @unknown6266 Those were the best graphics possible in Vice City. A graphics card doesn't make games look any better, it just enables you to play them (except a few features, such as anti-aliasing, which can depend on the card). A top of the range graphics card wouldn't make this look any better than mine does.

  • could these ships dissapear due to the render distance?

  • @Dazb2012 Nope, or they'd have disappeared when I was far away, not when I sailed closer to it.

  • A couple of points about the music:

    1. I changed the X-Files theme because of hundreds of comments saying it was old and overused. If you don't like the change, blame the other viewers.

    2. The title of the music is in the credits, and all comments asking for the name will be deleted.

  • Maybe, it's the end result of a very cool game created by R*? Not a mystery at all, but merely a added detail to the game? Or is that a little bit too much to comprehend and the notion of it being a 'ghost ship' sounds more correct and accurate?

Forgive my advocate, stern approach and analysis, I am a video games developer.

  • @JamesRCoston

Good point, but I've done some basic games developing myself and I wouldn't be so lazy as to simply code the ships to disappear... so Rockstar Games, with all of their professional coders; you'd think they'd at least remove the ships when the players aren't looking at them rather than blatantly making them disappear - unless they wanted us to see them disappear.

  • what do you use microsoft paint for ?

  • Whats the song pls tell me?

  • You can tell that these Ghost Ships if even that are 2D instead of 3D. If anything they're add something in the draw distance instead of there being nothing. Unless we get information from Rockstar themselves we'll never know if they're actually Ghost Ships or simply a background image that fades purposely.

What we do know is that they're 2D images, almost look cutout.

  • @X1josch1X personally il be looking for all SA myths in gta v

  • not trying to bust your bubble, but thats probably just a far-away ship, like the u"ufo's" are just far away plane, love myth hunting tho do it myself

  • Looks like a navy ship. R* might've added it for the effect of Large vessels far away, but lacked the graphics to actually have one that far away.

Btw I'm coming back after GTA V

  • straaange.i played gta vice city but i saw those ghost ships only at night,i didnt knew that they apear even at adaytime.

  • R u gonna make more vids?

  • it's real i find it while i using infernus with seaways cheatcode at the beach it gan when i want to see with my sniper :(

  • In the game folder, theres a folder called "models". Inside it is a texture file called "particles.txd" or something. There are the textures of the ghost ships, they are just to make the ocean look full.
