This was happening to me all night, so i decided to go home, get my video camera, and go back out in the freezing cold for some proof.

  • MY slider effect is like when i am 30 ft away it will turn off .. but when i past by it will turn back on ... have the same thing over and over again ...

about 6 street lights on one street ...

even in highways and other places

I hope nobody notice it or they think am ET hahaaa.. XD

  • are you sure it's not the bulb just dying, they go on and off repeatedly just before they die

  • Same thing happens to me often. Weird...

  • This happens to me once in awhile, I don't think much of it.

  • @GracieFowerOfficial oh,ok thanks

  • @ervinasroblox3 you cant become one. i guess some people are just born with what us normal people call Street Light Interference Syndrome. be glad your not a SLIder - its kinda creepy. xD

  • how do you be a SLIder??

  • It's not you it's the light. It's called a High Pressure Sodium light which requires an ignitor or "ballast" to ignite the sodium gasses, and when these ignitors wear out it over works itself causing the light to go out, cools for about a minute, then restarts again. This process is called cycling

  • @bionicsjw I understand you man... you don't know how relieved I was when I knew I was not the only one having this kind of phenomenon.. I just started to notice Lights turning off when I was 19 now I'm 21 and it still happens to me every time I walk down the street. First I thought it was just a coincidence but now I doubt it. but it seemed it can't be controlled on demand it just happens when you least expect it or not thinking about it. it's just confusing.
