WOW KIPP....I WAS IN THE ORIGINAL CLASS IN THE 5TH GRADE IN HOUSTON TX...LOTS OF GREAT MEMORIES..I AM GRATEFUL TO HAVE BEEN ABLE TO BE A PART OF KIPP..DAVE LEVIN AND MIKE FEINBERG ARE TWO GREAT GUYS..NOW I AM A 27 YEARS OLD AND I BECAME WHAT I ALWAYS WANTED TO BE ...A POLICE OFFICER IN HOUSTON TEXAS...KIPP TAUGHT ME HOW TO STAY DISCIPLINED IN GOING TO SCHOOL AND ACHIEVE MY GOALS..

we were shown this today in school as an act of motivation. Where I'm from in the UK, we have the highest grades in the area [northumberland] but have the biggest population of low income families- like i am. this video has proved to me that i can go onto uni and prove others wrong. all i really want to say is basically Thank You for showing me that i don't have to stay a small town girl, but can do bigger things with time, effort and dedication, as long as i'm willing to put the effort in.

I have no words to express the gratitude i have to have been part of something so great as a member of KIPP ACADEMY in the Bronx class of 2008 i know it has made me what i am today. If i could do it all over again I would. TEAM AND FAMILY!

wow, seriously you guys? im a KIPP member myself from the original KIPP Academy Middle School in Texas. i am now entering KIPP Houston High School class of 2013! KIPP gave me soooo much hell at first but hey,
with out KIPP's pressure im sure i'd have been a 14 year old pregnant girl with a drop out of middle school.
when i entered KIPP, i seriously said i was going to die before loving a school like it, but i mean you learn to love it and make friends that help you through the way. :)
