In her election day "Notebook," Katie Couric brings up why it is we vote on Tuesday. We would have liked to seen her piece mention that a "convenient" voting day in the America of 1845 isn't so convenient today.

We need to either make election day a holiday or just move it to the weekend. That's 2 days instead of one, and you don't have to work, so you're completely free to get to the booths.

Business as usual all the way. Never dare to rock the boat.
They'll be doing a piece on Diebold any week now. You bet. Boycott CBS sponsors.

it was convenient then, why not make it convenient for us now. Or make it a holiday like one of the other channels have mentioned.
