http://www.driver-coaching.com - Video is onboard from one of my coaching students Raed Raffii who is driving for MEEZER Group in the V8 Supercars Middle East Championship. He is driving a Class A car (similar to the Aussie V8s recently raced at Bathurst) on the Bahrain "Inner" Circuit. These are Raed's first laps in the car so he is still familiarising himself with it. Video/Data system used in VIDEO4 from Race Technology.

Green car is Front is Saudi Drift Master Abdul-Aziz Al-Yaeesh who for the moment forgot he was circuit racing and thought he was in a D1 Drift Competition.

I will be bring you more onboards from the V8 Championship races in the near futures. Websites that may be of interest :

  • I love watching your videos. The drifting car got awful drive out of the hairpin to allow Raed to overtake though, I would have thought his rears would be nice and sticky after those drifts! So nothing was broken on his car? I want to know why Raed had just done a 1:34 too?

  • @tomr200199 - The Drifting Car (Abdulaziz Al Yaeesh) had 'overheated' his tyres so they were never going to do a quick lap without a major cooldown, so Aziz decided to have some fun ... much to the annoyance of the series director.

  • they look mysteriously like holdens to me...

  • @spadgerslapper - Yep, same thing, Chevy Lumina, Holden Commodore of Vauxhall Monaro depending where you come from :)

  • Awesome work from Abdul-Aziz.

Although perhaps not the best time to be driving like that... it was still impressive.

  • @Sevoverkill If my rear tires overheated by my incompetence, I surely wouldn't put other's safety in risk playing the Ken Block in a racing track during an open practice session. Drifting is for pussies who can't control their right foot to be faster than the other guys. And yeah, a common spec 2-stroke go-kart would pass the guy with no problems in any line.

  • @PedraumF no, you couldn't

  • I WAS THERE!!! SERIOUSLY!!!

  • impressive for testing, not fr racing. i think Raed was right in waiting, with a guy doing that, the last thing he needed to do was pass, last thing you need in testing is something to go wrong, having said that, i saw the other vid when the engine blew! DOH!
