Image Rescue 3 (Using Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 3)

In this third image rescue tutorial Mike Walen shows you how to recover colour in the sky and grass from an image that was rather over-exposed and blown out and also how to bring back depth and nice saturated colour by fine-tuning the image to perfection. The demonstration is carried out using Photoshop Lightroom 3 and uses a RAW file from a Canon 7D.

Too much saturation makes it fake looking. Also, the trees are blue...and from the overexposure mixed with the darkening of the kids, creates a halo effect around the children. unappealing.

Not impressed with this edit. Your trees look awful with the blue running through the top of them from the graduated filter....and you should mask off that sharpening.
