  • save the kit where? sorry not making alot of sense. ive saved my samples in the ultrabeat sample foldr, im not sure if im sopose to have them all arranged as kits, most of them are arranged in there drum name. folders of kicks, folders of claps, etc... whilst in ultrabeat, how do i access, and drag them into ultrabeat. .

  • its up to you how you arrange them. I personally have them arranged as kits but it doesnt matter.Put them in the ultrabeat samples folder. You're going to open ultrabeat and use Logic's media browser to find the samples in the ultrabeat samples folder. Now just drag each sound individually into ultrabeat like the video shows.Watch the video again. I do everything step by step. This tutorial will be slightly different for Logic 7 because there is no media browser.

  • do these same rules apply to logic 7. same drum machine... im having trouble loading my own samples like u showed in pt 1, i cant find where to access them from logic, ive out them in my ultra beat sample folder, i just need to get to them through logic...

  • The difference is there's no browser like in 8. Also, in 7 you should be able to just save the kit. Make sure you start with the drag and drop samples kit and then open the Ultrabeat folder with yoir samples and drag and then save within Ultrabeat..It should work.

  • Good stuff. Do u know if it's possible to add 32nd note HiHats to that pattern? Something like Redrum's flam capability for that dirty south feel? I've seen the 32nd resolution at the bottom of ultrabeats interface but when I change it the pattern just plays back twice as fast. Keep up the god work and thanks for answering my other questions earlier today.

  • You would have to start with a 1/32nd template.

  • @youngobi2009 Thx

  • why don't you use full view?

  • Where did you get the orchestra hit? I like it and was wondering if I can use it. In fact, where did you get all your drum kits?

  • I have a question:

When forming my beat in ultrabeat, can I use more than one drum kit while I am forming the beat? If so how would I go about that?

  • It's a lot easier to do this stuff in the piano roll btw

  • dude. very good tutorial. just started with logic pro today.

  • dude it says pt 3 xD i was kinda confused lol

  • Go to global track and hit + sign then select software instrument then output 1-2- check ascending hit create you will see out 1-2 right above this one there's a blank bar hit that. scroll down and you will see ultrabeat right underneath test oscillator. Now you have ultrabeat opened up. make sure you hit the power button of drum kit which is on the left corner.

  • thx helpfull

  • Dude your videos are boss... keep flowing dude..
