INTEGRALE VESTITO CHANNEL - The death of Formula One triple world champion Ayrton Senna, on May 1, 1994, resulted from a crash that occurred while he was leading the 1994 San Marino Grand Prix at the Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari in Italy. The accidents of Senna and Roland Ratzenberger (the previous day) were the first fatal accidents in Formula One in eight years, and were the worst of several accidents to take place during the race meeting.

There have been many attempted explanations for the cause of his death, but no consensus has been reached. His death was a turning point in the safety of Formula One, as many safety measures have since been implemented. The Grand Prix Drivers' Association was reformed later in 1994, and the association has contributed to these changes.

  • @INTEGRALEVESTITO this documentary is bullshit. Why don't you google "Senna's trial 2007" and see what REALLY happens. The steering column had broken and he goes into the wall in a straight line. Patrick Head was guilty by the italian law for the accident, but he was not arrested for this. After a certain time, this kind of process lost its criminal value, that's why he was not arrested.

  • @TheMazaro : Im not a producer buddy.

  • well men long time i havent had an answer of my coment of ayrton .....weel all that i can say is that you have youre opinion.....and i respect that,i suppose that im not saying that it was williams fault all that im saying is that ayrton didnt feall confort driving that williamas before the race in the pole position.,and that senna said that to frank or team williams something was wrong with fe f1 williams

  • @TheMazaro Adrian Newey admitted that the steering column would have broken eventually, but if it did broke prior or during the accident no one would ever know, even if the trial found Head responsible.

Also, this does not excuse the lack of tire protection around the corner (Senna is somewhat responsible for this, asking Balestre to remove the tire protection at some point). Needles to say, Berger suffered a horrible crash in '89 at the same corner and escaped, but no one change it.

  • the best....

  • for everyone believing this story, go watch the videos of the death of ayrton senna, what natgeo did not tell. there you can clearly see it was in fact the steering colum that broke

  • No one else had this problem when the safety car came out.

  • What if they put rubber on the bottom of the cars, at that ride height, how would that effect a car that had bottomed out?

  • This exactly what happened. I saw this race live and he even drove by the pace car to get them to go quicker so as not to cool the tires so much. On the restart you could see sparks from his car bottoming out. The on board computer does not lie. At the speed he was going and the g load any sudden lose of grip would lead to a lose of control. Thus at the apex he lost grip. Sadly if he had not been hit in his helmet by the tire he would have been ok. Frank Williams does care and every car is made

  • tons of bullshit
