A very under rated album. Frank created a special atmosphere with this album with the language and the production. Some of the wildest most pure Zappa stuff is on this. How about the duet between the Evil Prince and the Thing Fish [the ugly dead motherfucker on a string there...], or the Evil Prince's 'aria' [Somewhere over there I can tell...] or the Crab Grass Baby singing buy me a Volvo..and the re arrangement of Ms Pinky (Artificial Rhonda) Frank is still the greatest.

Call me pedantic but it was a TRIPLE ALBUM back in the days of LPs

there was a slogan inthe early '80's', AIDS is germ warfare by the U.S. government. Also, broadway recycled too much. this piece is zappa on broadway, his work is modern. the libretto is a kind of gratuitus Marx Brothers farce. zappa gets to piss on a broadway audience. This has been a public service announcement.

I'm reading-up on Thingfish, never heard it before this post, and wondering what happened to the Broadway production. I started listening to FZ in the 70s with One Size Fits All, and have very slowly been filling-in blanks ever since. The more time passes, the more I appreciate and miss him and his art.
