RE: quality of this video vis-a-vis what the Smiths would pull off. Actually, it's very Smith-esque, in many ways, including grainy, hand-held camera work, potentially disaffected lads, and modest production values. Also, certain of the techniques are actually used in Smiths videos (e.g., speeding up the film, a la "Interesting Drug," other vids). When the film sped up, I had to do a double-take: I wasn't so certain any more that it was not, in fact, made by the Smiths. Do "Well I Wonder" next.
