Today, IRFS press center hosted the opening of a new youth organization -- Azerbaijan Youth Translators Association (AYTA).

Announcing that that AYTA was established on 30 September -- the International Day of Translators - the Association's leader Ismayil Jabrayilov presented information about the motives for founding the organization, and noted that it aims to build communication among translators, represent the social, legal and economic interests of translators and support youth translators. His organization will also cooperate with local NGOs to provide them with voluntary services. "AYTA is planning to prepare a Code of Ethics for translators, hold trainings for youth translators and meetings with experienced translators," he added.

AYTA Executive Secretary Rashad Huseynov focused on the goals of the organization: the promotion of research in translation, contributing to accurate public opinion about the translation profession and translators, preparing a code of ethics for local translators and guidelines for customers on how to work with translators.

AYTA coordinator Afag Aslanova gave information about the rules for membership. She called on the translators to be active and join the organization.

At the end of the event, the group decided to prepare a Code of Ethics for translation. With this view, the translators will come together again in coming days to work on the Code.

The event was concluded with membership approval of over thirty translators.
