My first Let's Play! Valis77, this is for you!

This game is called Lunar: The Silver Star, which was released in 1993 by Working Designs. You probably know this game better by it's PlayStation remake, Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete, but this is the real deal!

Pardon for my high pitched voice and sound issues. I don't have whacky audio and video splicing techniques yet! Give me time to learn the tricks of the trade!

I'm still debating doing a Let's Play of Vay as well, considering Kuchkuto gave up on his, and maybe Shining Force CD, because that game is incredible. We shall see!

  • Wow. I sometimes wish when people name drop me show me their vids. You are really good so far. I know this is three years late but. Good job so far.

  • @KuchKuto I'm sorry! I was a newb back then and didn't even think of it. :(

  • Oh btw you sound like Nall lol

  • True story time!

About 10 or so years ago I auditioned for the role of Nall in a fandub and won the part. ;)

  • I'm a big Lunar fan, so it's cool to see an LP of this game.

You have a nice voice to listen to, that's a good thing for LPs. Although it's kinda scary how much you sound like Nall.

Oh, and I saw on your profile that you're a teacher, which makes sense cuz of how you read all the comments out loud. It's kinda like you're reading us a story.

  • Thanks a lot for the compliments. Fun fact since you mentioned I sound a little like Nall - Way back a couple of years after the game came out, there was a fandub being made for Lunar: The Silver Star. It never really got anywhere, but I auditioned for the voice of Nall and got it.

Some LPers tend to read all comments out loud. However, in a way now that I think about it I am reading a story, and that's probably why I like RPGs so much. I'm reading a story as I play.

  • This is the best game on Sega CD besides Sonic CD.

  • This was my first RPG overall. One of many reasons I bought a Sega CD add-on. Outstanding job!

  • i just found lunar 1 and 2 complete for ps1 in minty fresh boxes with minimal edge wear with all the goodies still sealed for $35 each at my local retro store i cant wait to play that. i have played the psp version and i burned a copy of the sega cd ones to try

  • You win the webernets. Nice job.

  • @Serena2009ification I agree 100% - I'm forever annoyed at the lame-ass song that replaced this one in Lunar:SSSC. I know the song is supposed to be more Alex-Luna centric but seriously? It was way too calm compared to this (which shows off how epic this game is).

Back in the day, this song was the JAM, hell, it still is. In fact, I used to love sticking this disk in my CD player and rockin' it.

  • Listening to the intro music, it just makes me want to watch some teenage mutant ninja turtles or x-men.

  • god this game is epic i so love the music in it

  • @LuccaRPG It's all good. I sent you a friend inv. :D

  • I LOVE THIS GAME!!!!!!!!! lol :)

  • @LuccaRPG are you serious? that´s pretty cool :P
