if you have an overbite , do you need headgear ? or is it for jaw ? someone told me it holds back a jaw thats grown over than the other , like if your top jaw is grown more that the bottom , you need headgear to hold it back so the bottom jaw can grow ? , coz my teeth just grew over my bottom teeth..

@XxmickeybellxX No, it doesn't, it may be a bit uncomfortable and hard to get used to for a while, but that's bout it. I have the same type of headgear this boy has, and it's very simple.

I have headgear, it's not that bad after a while, but it hurts like hell, and is really sore when, and after you take it off. The reason you wear headgear is for your tip jaw's growth to be restricted/lessened so your bottom jaw can catch up on growth.
