THE LAST OF IT'S KIND. CHRYSLER KILLED Dodge Magnum DUE TO THE HIGH PRICE OF GAS AND SLOW SALES. R.I.P. YOU LIVED A SHORT LIFE BUT YOU WILL ALWAYS LIVE IN OUR HARTS. THIS CAR WELL BE CLASSIC.
Ummm the Magnum had quite a few versions, not all of them were gas guzzling but if you don't care as I don't and wanted an awesome ride then geting the SRT8 is in order. The Challenger, Charger and 300 are very popular and those too have the same engines. What really killed the magnum is lack of popularity and overly confident buyers of imports.
Brampton is not the one to blame, but Chrysler and the new Cerberus management. Chrysler announced in 2007 that they will eliminate four models through 2008, including Dodge Magnum, the convertible version (only) of Chrysler PT Cruiser, Chrysler Pacifica and Chrysler Crossfire. This lead to lead to a reduction of 8,500-10,000 additional hourly jobs through 2008 in North America!
Bottom line the sales were dissapointing and they got rid of it. If you want to get one buy it and take care of it
