My venerable Izhmash Saiga in is way to enhancement... with TDI modified furniture in a little test of heat absorbtion and fixation of the FORT Ukrainian state factory gas tube replacement picatinny mount.
These were the first 60 shots after instaling the mount.
Although 60 shots can seems not so much, the heat is significant, the barrel is almost untouchable and the tube take a good part of the burning gases. After these shots, the fixating screws were still locked (without loctite).
After that, almost 500 shots where fired without any movement or play of the locking parts.
A chinese copy of the Aimpoint T1 was used for the test of heating after 60 and another 110 consecutive shots and no malfunctions were constated.
Video with an Aimpoint M4 will follow...

  • Reached under to rack the slide, but isn't that a lightning cut I see?

  • @MrJivePirate yes at that time, I was planing modifiyng my transporter "a la lightning" but with a simple screw and a FAL handle, now its done, i just have to test it!

  • Clever handguard! I like the idea of removing some of the Picatinny rail from the bottom of the TDI LHV47 Tri-Rail. It looks more comfortable while still retaining some functionality in the front.

Great rifle. Thanks for sharing the vid!

  • @DrThunder88 Thx! I was not satisfied by the available handguards, so I make it myself!

  • What handgrip is that on your AK, friend ??? Thanks for a responce .

  • @BrokenTengu99 It's a old original AK47 type 3 grip sandblasted & duracoated !

  • @TomCat686 The problem is that it isn't an AK-103 because it never had the full auto FCG installed and back at Izhmash it was drilled in the wrong places, meaning it needed a conversion.

But if you want to consider it an AK-103, it was made at Izhmash so it's the closest you can get. But a Colt AR15 isn't a M16 even if they share 90% of the parts.

  • very nice rifle man!!! but why can i see through the receiver just behind the bolt carrier? were or are you going to put a left side charging handle?

  • @bf2lover42 ak-103!!!!

  • @MAZZILAorg The AK-101 fires 5.56x45 NATO, this one fires 7.62x39 so it can't be a AK-101.

  • where can i buy the gas tube rail

  • Mais dis moi j'ai vu de nombreuses Saiga non "castrées" ou pas correctement, la même pour toi?

    PS : beau t shirt.
