As part of ongoing research into formal models of DNA rearrangement in unicellular organisms, Acadia Computer Science student, Travis DeWolfe, is investigating template guided recombination. This promising tool in molecular computing, which attempts to harness the computational power of molecules for information processing, is an emerging field and allows Travis, thru his research, to investigate the template-guided recombination model and it's suitability.
