Ryan's wish to give his mom the wedding of her dreams led to David Tutera's help

After 17-year-old Ryan received a life-threatening cancer diagnosis, his health became his mom's only priority. She put her wedding plans on hold to focus money and attention on her son's medical treatments.

When Ryan was offered the chance to have a wish granted, he wanted to give back to his mom. Ryan wished to give his mom the wedding of her dreams.

Ryan asked the Make-A-Wish Foundation® to bring David Tutera to his hometown of Topeka, Kan., to work his magic and give the "Tutera touch" to his mom's special day.

Ryan's wish of hope and generosity was captured on camera and was featured in the premiere episode of Season 5's "My Fair Wedding with David Tutera" on WEtv.
