Project IGI - classic game

Project I.G.I. (Im Going In), released late Y2k, one of my alltime fav games, its also, without competition, the hardest game I ever played, huge maps (for its time, equivalent of any ordinary CS map x 50) and NO savepoints, took me a year or so to finish, lost 3 mice to it ^^ Has some shortcomings, fairly dumb A.I., NO MP support (!) and a structure that makes it impossible to make any mod to it (afaik there isnt even ONE made), but its a nice game with nice graphics, excellent sounds and music,
it isnt a traditional SHoot Em Up tho, its more a Sneak Em Up, try playing this Quake-style and you wont last 20 seconds, after 2-3 hits youre toast, there isnt any
Medipacks laying around as such, there is a syringe that boosts health but its not generally just laying about on any of the 14 maps, but once you played it you cant stop, its that immersing with a very unique style

have you played IGI 2?

I remember IGI1 from when i was 7 or 8 , i think this was my first FPS i ever played

i just reinstalled igi2, but im very puzzled cuss it gives me graphical anomalies, which baffles me immensly, its SAME engine as igi1 and i never ever ever had any issues with gi1 at all .....

yes its weird tho, i love my gainward 7600 gt agp 256 mb, gives me good and clean fps in doom3, so it should run igi2 like 100 times easier hmm

yes i did play it, its fairly nice, i might reinstall it someday if i can find it ^^ My first fps ever was IGI, HL1 and SWAT3, shame i cant run SWAT3 on xp cuss then i would :)

no its all default sound, i havent figured out how to replace them, everything is in hex, .res and .qvm....

I did exchange some of the weps via hexxing, but only 4letter weps to other 4letter weps or it WILL crash :( So no, doing a mod im not doing cuss its imposs, maybe a genius like John Carmack could ^^

if this had been made recently it would easily have swept the carpet from crysis :p Its amasing how good it looks being 9 years old, and yes its a great game, but hard as effin nails ;o
