Call this video my "mind-map", bringing together people, events and concepts that are not "black and white". The tradition of the "Dutch Fair", in Sydney (I attended the first, in the early 70s.) The sentimental Dutch songs, often called "smartlappen" (similar to "tear jerkers"). The ethnic composition of the Netherlands. The fun of being a d.j., on "Community Radio". Too many links here to mention. Here also, my disclaimer: I do NOT agree with the sentiment expressed in the song by Rinus Koevoets. My opinion: Like the rest of the world: "The Netherlands" were 'multicultural' from when the first people ever, settled there.

Jo Mulholland, formerly chairman of the DACC.
