A song for the season. It's my first Orchestral piece, as it includes a string section. Hope you enjoy.
Sorry about the clarinet, youtube just loves to butcher it's tone quality. The download has a much better clarinet sound.

As always, you may download the song here, along with all of my other compositions and arrangements. Do not comment on the quality until you've downloaded the original version:

And yes, I'm aware it's cliché; that's the point, as it's suppose to invoke Holiday feelings.

  • This is beautiful....

  • @canadacowgirlcrazy I wouldn't say so.

Wrote this back when I was first getting started. My new stuff is far superior.

  • I can assure you, i studied classical music for years and i am a Bach and Co. addicted. The point is not if it's complex or intricate, the important thing is if the composition works or not. A simple riff could sound great, while some dodecaphonic music may cause orchitis and suicidal tendencies (not the band). Anyway, thanks for the answer, i wish you a good job with your music.

  • @pagasotto

That's all opinions. I'm not arguing opinions. I'm arguing that the shit Muse writes is simplistic as shit, and 12 year old could replicate it with ease. You may like simplicity, but I'm simply saying that Muse does not have the ability to create music that is intricate or complicated. There are millions of music majors. It doesn't mean they all have the natural ability to compose.

And this was my FIRST orchestral piece I ever wrote. It's not really fair to compare.

  • @pagasotto

Funny you should mention Bach; I'm not a fan.

It angers me, however, when someone writes a guitar solo that consists of a half note and 2 quarter notes repeated 10 times*Cough* Knights of Cyndonia*Cough* and it gets more praise than people that write amazingly intricate and soulful solos like you'll hear in classic rock or Jazz. I'm just disgusted by the lack of musical taste of the modern listener. They're listening for lyrics and something to dance to, and that's not right.

  • You have to be very brave

to criticize muse (i'm not a fanboy) and at

the same time compose trivial shit

    like this.

    Howewer, this sounds good

for a program from the trinity broadcasting network.

  • @pagasotto

Muse couldn't write anything near as complex or intricate as the music I write . You obviously have no appreciation or understanding of classical music, so take your ignorant ass and get out of my channel.
