I prefer the OCD,the tone is the same but it's fuller than the bb...I think it would be great for rhythmic/heavy stuff.

Best to have both ... set up ocd for rhythm tone and hit it in the front with bb preamp for the most harmonically rich lead tone....superb

bb preamp sounds nice. Sounds like a true classic rock pedal

@EriksAnarchy512 Both are top rated pedal, but for me the BB Preamp owns the OCD, I think the OCD changes a lot the tone of the amp, gettin muddy... it's only my opinion...

@nightpesada i'd like a pedal that i can use for rock, hard rock, and (maybe) metal. which would be better of these two?

I prefer the BB, just sold my OCD, but BOTH are Great Pedals!
