@yangkaihui ----------->That is definately true, but by materially we mean "luxuries" like benz's , hi-rises, etc etc. We meant solid public utility / capital goods. Mao's economy was that. Improving "capital" goods.

On a personal note, I am very happy if many Chinese feel this way, I too favour the pre-Hua / Deng period.

@hotlava777 Jobs don't fall from the sky, this is true. What creates jobs are our needs, what bosses do is facilitate the SELECTIVE FULFILLMENT of SOME needs, specifically those which will grant them a profit. If they can't make a profit doing it, it doesn't get done. I think people are perfectly capable of figuring out what they need, and how to organize their productive power and resources to accomplish this, without bosses. its how people solved their problems for centuries before capitalism
