Hi! Actually, I did follow the trail - there are two - the easy one and the cliff trail - I followed the Cadillac cliff trail and did climb that ladder, but there were also arrows that I followed throughout. :)

Very nice. Acadia is beautiful, We've done this trail many times and it's not hard. Judging from the views shown, this hiker got seriously off the established trail. The right path is marked by blue arrows on the rocks. Getting off track is easy to do the first time, and is often not a big deal. In some cases, though, it can get you into some hard rock scrambling. In the Cadillac cliff section, the trail provides a metal ladder to assist the climber back onto the path. It's not shown here.
