Time video was taken is 12:35am, Had gone to bed only to continue to see lightning to the northwest, so I looked at radar and found a rotating supercell in northeast reno, northwest harvey counties, it had a severe thunderstorm warning on it, but showed it was to stay in northern 3rd of harvey (the warning box at least, and the radar was from wunderground, since ICT radar was down due to technical problems) After looking at storm relative motion on the HD radar site, it had moved into the county and began to have a right angle in the cell with rotation evident on both radar and relative motion, so went north on K-15 to NE 48th and west a mile to Anderson. Several times there appeared to be a wall cloud and funnels, (as the storm was over Hesston, Kansas) but because I wasn't sure if what i was seeing was accurate I didn't call it in. I am wanting feedback on the video and curious to see if any of you see anything that you would have called in. Positive comments please, something useful. (I always like to learn new things).

  • Well, from KC if you take I-35 to Emporia, then take Highway 50 to Newton, all together, depending on where your at in KC, it's about 3 hrs. I know it's about 2 hrs to Ottawa from here.
