Using 4 mics to record drums in your project studio. Oktava mics were used to produce a 4-track drum track and shows mic placement for optimum sound for your recording using 4 microphones.

  • There are 4 mics in this video. 2 small diaphragm MK-012 mics using a cardioid capsule and a -10dB pad AND two MK-219 large diaphagm mics.

    The first MK-012 mic is placed where you get the best sound from the low tom. Once that is placed, measure the distance from your snare to the bottom of this first mic. Then, use that same distance to place the second MK-012 overhead mic over the snare.
