This is a video of the tragic crash at the 2011 Reno Air Races. I think it's one of the clearer videos of the crash, so I hope it helps bring people peace.

I am new to this and am having trouble posting.. You did a good job and should ignore some of the comments. The plane was heading straight for me when it came out of inverted. I don't remember the left roll just above the stands. I was 20 rows up from where it hit. It looks like Jimmy made some sort of last minute input and saved my life. Flex

@hpux735 i saw 10 so far, my girlfriends friend being one of the 1st three confirmed dead from washington state, she hasn't been doing to well as of late

I'm glad to hear you're alright. From everything I hear though, the late Jimmy Leeward could not have made any control changes one way or the other. Forthese highly modified P-51's flying this fast, the trim tabs on the elevators must be all the way down to counteract the P-51 wanting to lurch upward.That trim tab tore away, as slow motion video clearly shows.When that happened, the P-51 shot upward instantly, forcing Jimmy into a 10 G climb, which would knock any human unconcious.

This was not a minor crash. It killed the pilot plus 10 more on the ground.
