In the "Nancy's Notions" catalogue I came across templates for making these flowers....$24.95. Decided to check 'em out on Youtube: THANK YOU THANK YOU for your wonderful tutorial. I think I can make the flowers without buying templates!

oh and if you push the petal in the middle so it has two points sortof then you have the cherry blossom design.

you can make them more vintagey if you look at how the japanese use them...the geishas wear them in some very beautiful and vintagey ways
