Kingsburg Police may have a new tool to help them catch the bag guys.
The department is trying out these Segways for the next two weeks.
The motorized people movers can be used in any weather, and organizers say they're the latest must have in crime fighting.
"You can see over crowds. You can see over vehicles. But more importantly, you are a deterrence so you can be seen. So even if you're in a crowded area, everybody can see you above everything else. You're silent. You can go anywhere a pedestrian can go. So you don't have to be stuck in a car or stuck in a sidewalk. Anywhere that you can get to as a pedestrian, you can get there as well," said Jamie Marsh, national accounts manager for Segway.
The Segways are used by 12,000 police departments across the country.
It's Kingsburg, there's no one to chase!
