A cinema verite piece I shot in downtown Denver.
Cinema verite is a style of documentary where the shooter does not influence what is happening at all. There is no tripod, no lights, and minimal equipment. The shooter is supposed to be a "fly on the wall".

I'm a fan of Cinema Verite and I think this is done well. When you say the viewer does not influence what is happening, an often used technique with verite is interviewing and talking with people directly to the camera, which could be said is interaction and thus may influence events being captured. What is you opinion on that style of Verite? Or do you think that fly on the wall is more the pure style.
