Ahhhh! I'm dumber than a bag of dicks! This guy is cheating! OMG I'm so stupid I can't read! If I can read, I don't understand what tool assisted means!

What a friggin showoff.

@cigawoot I know, I was replying to CamTheKitty saying "Most players couldn't do that with sacestates" I'm saying, most people could, that's the point of savestates.
-
@NicholasCobalt That is the point of a TAS? Its to show a game being played perfectly. If you want someone playing it unassisted, go visit Twin Galaxies or something.
-
If you were insinuating it's the same company or development team, it's not. Konami made the Gradius series beginning in 1985, and IREM made the R-Type series beginning in 1987.
IREM's goal was to make an unforgiving shm'up that required multiple playthroughs to memorize the layout and motion of the levels. In other words, if you've never played an R-Type game before, you WILL die. You just have to remember why and how to avoid it next time.

Wow. Well done sir.

You'd be surprised what you could do with savestates, when you record a movie file for a game it doesn't show all the failed attempts when you play it back, only the successful one.
Yeah it's all tool-assisted, and well done at that.
