Country accents are hot.
-
I am from Ireland and I absolutely live country accents and I especially love when my boyfriend says y'all so ye you have offended some people but that I your opinion so whatever
-
I'm not from the south but the midwest so whenever I hear someone say y'all I just get confused for a second. Its not because I don't understand but its so odd to hear.
-
Thank goodness I'm British, we have the best accent in the world.
-
@Glitzy9614 What?? That's a little silly. I just get irritated when I get made fun of for saying "you all" instead of "y'all" lol That's the only reason I hate that word so much.

-
@Crystalbeauty101 Hahaha I just feel like shushing them sometimes.
-
@bossmane711 Yeah, lol I don't have a problem with all country accents. Just the one's that are completely absurd and over exaggerated.
-
@StayFlyStephanie I've gotten to the point where I just can't say it. It makes me feel weird. haha
-
@Fighterpilot1011 If you're listening for it, I'm sure you can detect it. If I go visit my family in the north, they say I sound southern but if I visit my family in Tennessee they say that I sound like a "yankee."
-
@addalexand lol I don't sound fake. I make an effort to pronounce words they way they are intended to be said.
-
Though I was also born & raised in the South, I always said "you guys" instead of "ya'll". I didn't even realize I did it. Then I started working in a restaurant, and I would always say "How are you guys?" or "What would you guys like?" and I realized it was a little off-putting and semi-sexist. So when I'm working, I switched over to saying "ya'll" because it seemed a little more friendly. In my personal life though I only use it as a joke or when I'm in a silly mood.
-
....you sound FAKE just like ASHLEY JUDD,,,trying to speak without your southern drawl......
-
lol well u do have a light country accent just sayin lol

@inlove4eva100 Hahahaha It's just the thick accents that make a cringe. I just feel like I can't understand them.

Plus I'd have ta ask my bestest fren, who mite not like me marriin' someone else. Wemun folks is funny bout that. Besides. Muh cousin mite git jealous too *Big Grinz*

I'm a Northern kid. I've lived in the South a few times, but not in very "South-centric cities" (Atlanta GA, and Fort Bragg NC), It's like an evolved (or devolved, depending on your opinion), UK accent, which is exactly what it is. I can hear a Southern drawl in some of the words you say. It's cool though.
adamXantium 6 months ago
@adamXantium Lol I would say devolved. Haha I just feel like out of all the English language accents, that one is the laziest. I began taking Italian a year ago and realized how much effort those people put into every word they speak. I also realized how little effort people around here put into the words they speak. It's just a personal annoyance. Haha :)
