  • @ghostrider3806 I think you have the wrong impression as to what the "money" they are referring to. The Diver, Brian Simic is re-enlisting next to the Memorial. The re-enlistment bonus is 60k, hence the comment 60. We help preserve & protect the Arizona Memorial and Pearl Harbor, which is far from being a dishonor.

  • Makes me wonder if there are any compartments still completely sealed off on the ship.

  • how r they breathing without the oxygen cylinder??

  • Just pee dude its cool lmao

  • @Zohar1978 I see no disrespect here. We ask so much of our servicemen, let them enjoy a little. I did a little military. I went as a MP, and they trained correctional officers along with MPs. They just do 2 weeks training different. Well one day the correction officers came back and first thing they said "This is BS. Dang prisoners have more freedom and rights then we do!"

  • @ghostrider3806 I see no issue here. ITs probably their job to dive around the memorial making sure its taking care of. And im willing to bet one of the best part of their job, is diving. So should the guy that posted about re-enlisting on the tailgate of a c-130 just prior to jumping, done it that way? Considering how many 101 and 82nd airborne lost their lives jumping out of a plane behind enemies lines?

  • Thats great these guys are re-enlisting but in my honest opinion there is a level of disrespect to USS Arizona and the sailors it entombs. The should have done it on the memorial, this to me is a publicity stunt. They did not treat this ship or the sailors with the respect they deserve.

  • Congrats man! I remember my first re-enlistment back in '82 was on the tailgate of a C-130 just prior to jumpin' onto Sicily, DZ at Bragg.

  • I AM THE WIFE OF GHOSTRIDER if you are going to re enlist i think you should do it standing on the memorial not underwater with it. there are men still in there and that is their resting place it would be just like their grave on land so we don't mind you all re enlisting but you wouldn't go under ground next to a grave and do that it's the same thing

  • looks like they dont afraid of the ghosts of sailors inside the ship.....

  • @ghostrider3806 Well your grandfather is there with my great uncle.

  • My uncle was killed on the Arizona, his name was Hubert Aaron First name on this list. Of course they could never find or recovery his body. In Texarkana, at the cemetery on my mother side of the family they just have a marker for him. He was 17 when he enlisted of course my great grandparents begged him not to join the navy but that is what he wanted to do.
