Seriously, there's something wrong with this guy. He smiles ALL THE TIME. It's creepy!

  • will you be doing Dizzy ? :DDD

  • @DrRuelel Yes... yes, I will. I can't spoil anything, but I have something... very special planned for good ol' Treasure Island Dizzy. :D I will be doing it, though!

  • The "beeping" was a USB accessory being plugged in and removed... or at least the computer thought it was happening. It is really annoying and distracting :(

  • @FragrantRain Yeah. I figured it out later... for some reason my computer kept thinking that my iPhone was being plugged in and then unplugged, over and over. It's weird, it showed up in the video much louder than I heard it through my headphones. I know it was annoying and I apologize, but at least it didn't go on for too long!

  • Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's a real secret you hit at 6:28, as that longer ladder isn't strictly necessary to proceed (you could do a long jump to it). There are many secret spots like that that extend ladders, open shortcuts, or add blocks to give you some sort of aid. I know of 17 such "invisible keys" altogether, including 1 or 2 that seem to be necessary to win, and one VERY well-hidden passage that lets you skip the first half of the game!

  • @MrBlitzGuy Yup, the Amstrad CPC version of the first game is also given away as being the first version by its alternate in-game title, just plain "Robin Hood", so I thought you might have come up with the "Super" part later.

  • @BagOfMagicFood that's pretty much exactly how it happened - except - it wasn't someone at Codemasters - it was me & Andrew. And the original version was the Amstrad version and our first Best Selling game - and therefore a game that meant a LOT to us! BTW - the full story is here OliverTwins website

  • @MrBlitzGuy Right, I always figured the NES version was the first (and best) one. I imagine that someone at CodeMasters thought it was safe to reuse the name "Super Robin Hood" for this new NES game, as it was like a reimagining of the original Super Robin Hood, but then when they wanted to port it back to those same home computers, they realized "Wait, this game needs a new name, so people don't get confused!" And I suspected the ZX Spectrum version was the first port, with its alternate title.

  • Doc...Did you seriously just have a problem with the word "snot"? You played Boogerman, didn't you know?

  • Computer science and math? Where'd you go to college? Because that kinda sounds like a boat I'd like to take a ride in.

  • @docsigma

    ;-)

  • Here's a title I never knew about. Nice! I wonder if anyone's posted a ROM of this online.

  • @MrBlitzGuy Thank you for the information... I am honored and humbled that you posted a comment on my video!

  • @MrBlitzGuy Whoah, didn't know that. Thanks for the info!
