I was alone with a robot and getting the minimum requirements in order to receive my PhD. I worked alone and kept faith. After a short while they sent me to Canada to work with Professor Jacky Baltes. I had so many difficulties in Canada, since I had no funding there, and I had to use my 679Euro from Austria in Canada. Nevertheless, I got Archie moving somehow before I brought is to Austria.
I am the young guy (Ahmad Byagowi) in the video who worked on Archie as my PhD work. Long story short description. You may argue, why the robot is not walking on its power. First of all, The project was meant to be done by at least 10 students from several fields. I was the only one from Electrical Engineering. After a short while, Prof. Kopacek was forced to get retired. So, he lost the funding and the institute.
jajaj if you dont understand then that means you cant read english cuz i can perfectly see you can speak it (probably without understanding what you say )
OK you are right, but remember Archie is now only a prototype , soon you will see a better result, only be patient . I built the hardware alone as my PhD project.
you know, what is in Archie is that it is very simple designed and has some stuff that you can not see them in Bigdog, more over I you know how many ppl are working on Bigdog, I worked alone on constructing Archie, and the whole budget was less than 15k.
and you know for bringing Archie to Vienna we had to brake him in parts and put him in luggage. but you can see I fixed some of the issues during one week and he start to have Dynamic walk. but thank you for your attention though.

Finally! A "Weekend at Bernie's" robot. Anyone care to post a translation of what they're saying?
