  • I've never heard of any of the free standing stores charging for samples, I don't know about the Nordstrom or Macy's counters though although I can't imagine they would since they are such small amounts. I just get a pigment and ask for a sample. I'm always buying stuff too though so its not like just going in and asking w/o buying anything. So far I've never had anyone say no. It is a great way to try them out too.

  • I'm only just getting into MAC and wondered if they charge for samples and if so how much? it seems a really good way to try pigments without spending the full amount on a colour you're not sure of. Love the 'tug' by the way.
