A 2:30 minute video meant to introduce the La Entrada Library Project, a non-profit organization supporting and starting libraries in South and Central America. The first library opened in La Entrada,Honduras on August 11, 2006.
We got the last of the books down in late January, and sent some bookmaking supplies. Lucy is encouraging the kids to make little books to send back for your students!
My Spanish classes made 150+ books for this project. This is a great way for students of Spanish to use their skills to promote global literacy. They also learned how to do bookbinding.
