The movie is called もののけ姫 (in English spirit or monster princess) and that is why when in the Japanese version she sings "もののけたちだけ” (meaning only the spirits or monsters) it is the highest moment of the song because that's what the movie's about! It's about the spirits/monsters that live the forest! And in the English version she sings "of the things that sigh in the dark, of the things that cry in the dark." The Japanese version is soooo much more mysterious and beautiful.

I must admit without any shame that this song in both Japanese and English always brings a few tears to my eyes. I've said it once to my friends and I'll say it again Hayao Miyazaki is an absolute genius!!!

@ShonenWave that's what i thought too^^ but when you look at the translation straight from Japanese to English (meaning unaltered yet so it makes better sense) the first 2 lines says:
"The trembling bowstring of a drawn bow
Pounding in the moonlight, your heart"
