What do you think of Alfie Boe? He did a great job in the 25th anniversary concert.
-
They did whatever it took, to get the JOJ.
-
JOJ and Colm are cool people, but I prefer HoH SiS, because I'd like to do it all over again.
-
yes and again since Colm was the original everyone after him was just trying to mimic him. so there is no comparison.
-
JOJ is my slang for an african american person that some may find offensive.

@mdhumway Colm Wilkinson puts passion and emotion into his voice... He sings like an angel. And you can thank him that the role of Jean Valjean is even for a tenor. It was going to be for a baritone until the writers heard Colm's voice. Schonberg went straight home and wrote "Bring Him Home" just for Colm to sing. So there.

Neither.....Gary Morris blows BOTH out of the water. What is the "yodel/holler" crud that Colm does at the ends of his phrases (10th ann. ed)????? Gary Morris....smooth like butter....makes me cry EVERY TIME!!

Alfie Boe dose come close though!

JOJ is the best performer, his voice, his acting and his stage presence is the best.
CW is Valjean though. He is the character.

Actually, between the four of them (on the 25th anniversary), I thought these two guys sounded the most similar, style-wise.
Anyone that thinks there's a better Valjean than Colm is straight up crazy! No one has yet or ever will outsing and act that character.
