"During my pregnancy, my husband and I would get into heated debates abour circ and always left me so angry because I cry when I get stressed out and can't ever win. When, last March we found out we were expecting our first son. We continued to argue over circ and I just gave up and said "whatever".

Last June, we welcomed our little boy to the world. We had a beautiful birth at home, in the water, unassisted. My midwife came moments after the birth to check on us. Everything was as perfect as my LO. My husband insisted that I make the circ appt for a week later so I did. I was just too exhausted to argue. A few days later though, the videos of baby boys wailing in pain reminded me of why I felt so strongly against this act. So I thought to myself... Why don't I make dh watch this???? He has a penis... He should feel this pain.... So, I went to play the video for him. He agreed to watch it. I saw hime cringe at the procedure and stare at his peacefully nursing son. He got off the couch and asked my if "that" was legal. I said what? "That" is a circ... What do you mean? He then said, "they don't use anesthesia?" Bottom line was that he feels that being in the 21st century in America, there should be no reason for anyone (even an adult) to experience such pain.

Now to the present. I have a beautiful son who has his foreskin. My husband was more convinced that everything would be fine after reading that intact care was easy. My inlaw's are a bit shocked but I just remind them that his penis belongs to him so lay off! My family on the other hand is totally for no circing. My Dad made a point of calling us everyday to check to see if our son was still intact! My husbands co-workers have sons and the majority of them are intact. My circle of friends son's are all intact."

A Father Writes:

"The doctors tried to convince me to cut my sons but I insisted that it would not be acceptable. Our children were born at home with a mid-wife so there was no pressure at the time of birth to perform the proceedure. Before me my wife had never even seen of one un cut and actually had no idea that the cut ones were made that way through cutting.

What I never understood was that why is it bad to cut a female and not a male. In my own experience, the foreskin is very sensitive and adds loads of pleasure to sex. Why mess with nature. A nice clean, hygenic natural protector .... and people want to cut it off?! Eventually on a guy with foreskin it retracts and is pretty hard to tell the difference anyway."

A Mother Writes:

"It was easy to protect them because I stayed home and birthed them into a safe gentle environment. If we had had to go in, I had a birth plan that explicitly stated my baby was never to leave my sight, or be circumcised, and had someone done so I would have needed to be physically restrained from attacking them for assaulting my child. Tell your readers to put NO CIRC explicitly in their birthplans for the hospital. It should say I DO NOT CONSENT to circumcision."

  • I was opposed to circumcision, but I left it up to my husband, who is cut himself. He did the research and decided against mutilating our children. Educate yourselves and free your minds of this idiotic ritual.

  • You are so right. Keep saying it like it is. People need to hear this, especially in America. Most American men are circumcised and most American women think of a penis in its circumcised form. The cycle of abuse will continue because people in the USA are ignorant and think it's necessary.

  • Wonderful video. The horror of circumcision is finally being seen for what it is. The battle to end this barbaric practice has begun, but the forces against us are powerful and determined.

  • The argument of looking like daddy, I think, is absurd. Would you do cosmetic surgery on your infants nose so that it can look like dad. Of course not. Everyone looks different in their own unique ways, children do not benefit from having their penises look like their father’s. Besides in our culture where fewer and fewer circumcisions are being done, they may look like dad but will look different than the majority of boys. Would you cosmetically change your daughter’s vulva to match yours?

  • BRAVO, lady!!!!!!!!

  • I hate the ideal have to cut on a poor baby.. So when I had my son, I refused to to have it done..

  • Human beings are so stupid, yet so smart.

    oh, the irony.

  • Visit FOREGEN.ORG! A charity that will use stem cells to regrow your foreskin!

  • evolution gave us a foreskin for a reason

all these religious nutheads need to stop calling it circumcision. Its mutilation not only for girls but boys too.

As for those who say "it looks better that way", you're fucking sick!!

I was unfortunately circumcised and need foreskin restoration. If I had a son or daughter and someone even suggested circumcision, I would knock his teeth out. Genital Mutilation is a form of child molestation.

  • @asayla70 Even written consent may not be valid, especially if it was not direct consent, and there was no valid medical reason for it in the case of a minor. Parents are not allowed to demand surgery if there is no reason for it, especially amputations and excisions of healthy tissue.

  • I'm currently un circumsized, I was kind of thinking about doing it, I totally didn't know about the drying out and lack of feeling it gets when it happends though. Thankyou guys so much for your comments , im sure others like me are reading this aswell
