Father Angus Morris is an excellent Cape Breton violinist and has entertained millions for many years and his flawless play is very much appreciated by this Caper.

  • Thank you for sharing all these old clips. As an American musician interested in many different kinds of traditions, it's really a wonderful thing to stumble on to something like this. My knowledge of Cape Breton music is limited to a few dozen recordings, and seeing players of the previous generations in action like this really helps get a clearer idea about it. There's something special about those earlier players, whether Irish, Scottish, Canadian or American.

  • A good clean sound. *****

  • We played this tune tonight!

  • My goodness it sounds good ! Isn't he a good fiddle player?
