This video is a tutorial on how I back comb KK Jumbo braid. This is not the be all and end all. If you're a beginner, use this as a starting point to create your own technique.

The hair I'm using in this video is Light Orchid UV by X-Tensions. Go to www.buyhair.co.uk to see their full range of colours and products.

  • ok thanks ill have a bash at that later today and ill let you know who it went :)

  • It's not really that much different. Your section of hair will need to be a bit thicker than usual. I wind half of the hair round the wooden pole like in my video and then I back comb. Then once I'm happy with that, I just untie the hair and wind the back combed bit round the pole and then repeat with the loose hair on the other side. Your back combing method should be no different to what you do all ready.

  • thanks for the reply i have another question how do i make de dreads i can do them se but fine it hard to do de wat do u suggest ??

  • Honestly it's really a personal preference. I've tried using pet combs and they didn't work for me but the combs I use do. You just have to find a comb that suits you really so you'll probably need to do a bit of trial and error to see.
