“สาวน้อยอุดร เริงระบำ” มีสายพันธุ์เดิมมาจาก "ต้นช้อยนางรำ" มีความแปลกคือใบจะขยับเมื่อมีเส­ียง เช่น เสียงปรบมือ หรือ เสียงดนตรี มีการสันนิษฐานว่า เป็นเพราะต้นไม้มีปุ่มที่รับคลื­่นเสียง ทำให้หูใบกระดิก หรือเคลื่อนไหวได้ในลักษณะเหมือ­นนางรำละคร
