  • Nice. Just a question, but why would you "slow it down with the engine"? Don't you mean the transmission, and why not just use the brakes? Just a question no harm.

  • you use both the brakes and the engine to slow the car, its hard on the brakes to only stop with the brakes at speeds over 100, thats when you get major brake fade, so it helps to let the engine slow it down as well.

  • lol i was at the time. good guess

  • open air intake, K&N filter, exhaust, highflow cats.

  • I'm 16 but ill be 17 in september

  • @N20LT4 why are you "LMAO"ing?

  • its called engine braking.. those who drive sticks should know that

  • I have a 92 Vette and i love the car, I have a hyperchip in it and cats cut off and a cold air intake. Its been the best car i've ever owned and i've owned many cars !

  • my dad has corvette 1979 i like it he's going to give it to me when i am older nice driveing man plzz respond!!

It's a good idea to rev-match the tranny to the engine if you're downshifting to slow down. Just shifting down with out rev-matching is actually just going to wear out your trans faster. Brake pads are a lot cheaper than putting a trans in.

  • Awesome :), 2 thumbs up.

  • @bronxboyXXX

you are right I launch my lt1 camamro at 2500. bytheway like you said that guy has to lower his rear tires pressure, do a real burnout, and get better reation times. and do some power shfting, or at least shift better, he just made the corvette look like a slow car(mustang)
