@sierraxr4icosie That's great news that you have not given up. I will be looking forward to your next video. This kit is ancient; has been in constant manufacture since the 1960's! That is some serious longevity.
@sierraxr4icosie I bought a doner ship. after a while i manufactured the missing parts and biult the other ship. Now i have 2. Uss Cushing 797 with splinter camo. When spring hits I will pull my finger out and get filming.
@ZhuangChe Lol. Thanks. some prat at the other end of the pond had an Argos job speed boat. not having a clue, he tries to menuver round the destroyer and my dads torpedo boat - SMACK! into the destroyer! I biult in wooden bulkheads to save the electrics from getting wet, it made the sinking pretty scale with props in the air like the titanic. I did get her back after my dad had a go at him (lol) but with meany missing bits.
@sierraxr4icosie Horrible News! I'm really saddened to hear it. I have an unbuilt Blue Devil and I guess I am living vicariously through others that have completed one and in RC. I suppose when I do get around to building it, some foam floatation in the empty parts of the hull would add a small security net for this destroyer. Again, my condolences.
Are you going to make a better video of this destroyer? I know you were more interested in operation at proper scale speeds but I am also interested in seeing the destroyer at flank speed; full power, emergency speed, that sort of thing which they were capable of. It's been 4 years now since we discussed the Fletcher speedboat from "kwokwing".
My father is a plank owner. He was on the Cogswell from 1943 to 1946. He was a radioman when they were not in battle and when they were in battle he was in the 5 inch turret handing shells up to the man above him. The Cogswell was the first to port in Japan for the signing of the peace treaty and the last to leave.
@ZhuangChe the spitfire filled a gap of the missing torpedos. Not very authentic but lol

@sierraxr4icosie Nice pics and the splinter camo is very well-done. I like the Spitfire floatplane!
