In this series, Berkleemusic.com facilitator Loudon Stearns covers five ways tracks can interact with audio effects using Ableton Live.
The Fifth installment, Ducked Delays, shows how sidechain compression can be used to automatically bring the level of delays down while I am speaking. This method uses nested racks, a complex setup unique to live, but very powerful.
You can study with Loudon Stearns at Berkleemusic.com in the Advanced Production with Ableton Live, and Composing and Producing Electronic Music courses.
Is that track finished cause it sounds great?

Stellar work, amazingly helpful tips! ...and I thought I had to duplicate my tracks to achieve these effects. This is so much better!!!
