The last pool of water, 100 square feet, of a Texas lake that is usually one mile in length and 300 yards wide. Trapped in the pool are alligator gars around 18-24 inches. The summer of 2011 has been exceptionally dry in Texas. Many areas are in drought conditions. This particular lake, Lemmon Lake along the Trinity River is a shallow lake that can go dry in drought conditions.
