Tom's Hardware takes an Intel Xeon E3-1275 and compares it to an Intel Core i7-2600K in the 2011 workstation benchmark suite. In addition to evaluating processor performance, Tom's Hardware's editori-in-chief Chris Angelini also pits the HD Graphics P3000 engine against an Nvidia Quadro FX 580 professional graphics card.

  • How can you speak that fast!

  • @chrisangelini . ....ouch,, thanks for pointing that out. I was about to order myself x2 E3-1275s

  • @TheSupersurgical The E3 lineup is single-socket only. You'd need Xeon 5600s or Opterons if you wanted a dual-processor config.

  • @chrisangelini thanks chris
